Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses the avomu.com website, our software, or any of our products and services (the "service"). By using the service you agree to follow these rules. Words defined in the Terms of Service have the same meaning here.
Things you must not do
When you use the service, you must not:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- harm, threaten, bully or harass other people;
- post or share content that is illegal, hateful, or that breaks someone else's rights (including copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property);
- break into systems, networks or accounts that you're not allowed to access;
- scan, probe or test the security of the service without our written permission;
- upload or spread malware, viruses or other harmful code;
- send spam, or bulk messages that people did not ask for;
- overload, disrupt or attack the service, for example with a denial-of-service attack;
- get around, or try to get around, our limits, security or usage caps;
- copy, resell, rent or sub-license the service without our written permission;
- misuse other people's personal data;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or take apart our software, except where the law specifically allows it;
- use the service to pretend to be Avomu, or to impersonate anyone else.
Your account
Keep your account secure. Choose a strong password, keep your login details private, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has access. An account is for one person or one organisation, unless we agree otherwise in writing. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
Content you upload
You must have the right to use any content you upload or share through the service. You keep ownership of your own content, we don't claim it. But you must not upload anything that is unlawful, or that breaks someone else's rights.
What happens if you break the rules
If you break this policy, we may warn you, limit what you can do, suspend your access, or close your account, as set out in our Terms of Service. Where activity is serious or illegal, we may also report it to the authorities. We'll act in a fair and reasonable way, and match our response to how serious the problem is.
Reporting abuse or a problem
Seen something that breaks these rules, or spotted a problem? Please tell us at [email protected] or [email protected]. If you've found a security issue, please see our Security page for how to report it safely.
Which law applies
This Acceptable Use Policy is governed by the law of the Netherlands, and any dispute is for the competent Dutch courts.
