Privacy Policy

Avomu ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use it, and the rights you have. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), known in the Netherlands as the AVG.
1. Who looks after your data
The company responsible ("data controller") is Avomu, registered in the Netherlands, KvK 76757579, address Havenstraat 68, 2871 EA Schoonhoven, Netherlands. Email [email protected] or [email protected].
2. What we collect
We only collect what we need. Depending on how you use us, this can include:
- Contact details - your name, email and the message you send us by email or through the contact form.
- Account details - if you sign up for one of our cloud products (SaaS), we store the information needed to run your account, such as your name, email, login details and settings.
- Payment details - if you pay for a product, a trusted payment provider handles your card details. We receive only what we need for billing (such as your name, invoice details and that a payment was made). We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage and technical data - basic information your browser sends, like your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, kept in server logs to keep the site safe and working.
Please don't send us sensitive personal data unless it's really needed and allowed by law.
3. Why we use it
We only use your data when the law lets us. Our reasons ("legal bases") are:
- To reply to you - our legitimate interest in answering your messages, or first steps before a contract.
- To run our products and services - to give you the account and service you signed up for (performing a contract).
- To follow the law - for example, keeping invoices for tax.
- To keep things secure - our legitimate interest in protecting our website and services.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We share limited data only with trusted providers who help us run our service - such as our hosting company, email provider and payment provider. They act on our instructions under proper data-processing agreements. We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
5. Sending data abroad
We try to keep data inside the European Economic Area (EEA). If a provider processes data outside the EEA, we make sure it is properly protected, for example through European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep data only as long as we need it. Messages are kept while we handle your request and for a reasonable time after. Account data is kept while your account is active. Invoices and tax records are kept for the legal period, which in the Netherlands is usually seven years. After that, we securely delete or anonymise the data.
7. How we keep it safe
We use suitable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is ever 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data and to respond properly if something goes wrong. See our Security Policy for more.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you;
- fix data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data ("right to be forgotten");
- limit how we use it;
- object to certain uses;
- move your data elsewhere; and
- withdraw consent where we relied on it.

10. Children
Our website and products are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we'll remove it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The newest version is always here, with the date at the top. Big changes will be shown clearly.
