Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

In plain English: You can cancel your plan any time and it keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for. Because plans are paid up front, we usually don't refund the part you didn't use once a period has started, unless the law says so or we agree. If we make a billing mistake, we'll fix it and pay back any overcharge.

This policy explains how to cancel and when refunds apply for our cloud products (software you use online, also called SaaS) and paid plans. It works together with our Terms of Service. This policy is offered by Avomu (KvK 76757579) in the Netherlands. If anything here and the Terms don't match on a billing point, please contact us and we'll sort it out.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time. Do it from your account settings, or email us at [email protected] and ask us to cancel. Here's what happens next:

  • Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for.
  • After that period, it does not renew, so you won't be charged again.
  • We don't charge any cancellation fee.

Refunds for subscriptions

Subscriptions are paid in advance. Once a period has started, we generally don't refund the part you didn't use, unless the law says otherwise or we agree to it. If we get the billing wrong, that's different: we'll fix it and refund any amount we overcharged you.

Free trials

If we offer a free trial, you won't be charged while the trial is running. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your paid plan starts automatically and normal billing begins. So if you don't want to continue, just cancel before the trial is over.

Your right to cancel as an EU consumer (14 days)

If you are a consumer in the EU, you usually have 14 days to change your mind about something you bought online, and get your money back. That's called the right of withdrawal.

There is an important exception for digital services like ours. If you ask us to start the service right away, and you agree that you give up this 14-day right once it has started, then the right may no longer apply once the service is running. In plain terms: if you want to start using the product immediately, you may be choosing to give up the 14-day cool-off period at the same time. If you're not sure, ask us before you start.

One-off project work

Custom software or sound work we do just for you is not covered by this policy. That kind of work is covered by a separate written agreement or quote we send you, which sets out its own terms for payment, changes and cancellation.

How to ask for a refund or cancel

The quickest way is to email us with your account details (the name and email on the account, and the plan or invoice number if you have it):

  • For billing, refunds and cancellations: [email protected]
  • For anything else: [email protected]

Payments and chargebacks

Your payments are handled by a trusted payment provider, not by us directly. If you think something is wrong with a charge, please contact us first at [email protected] before you ask your bank for a chargeback. Most issues are quick to fix once we know about them, and talking to us first is usually the fastest way to get it sorted.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The newest version is always the one published here, so please check back if you want the latest terms.

Which law applies

This policy is governed by the law of the Netherlands. This does not take away the mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
